Set in the 26th century, F-Zero is a futuristic racing game series known for high velocity. The most recent console edition of the game, F-Zero GX, is especially known for it's high level of difficulty.
The F-Zero machines use a "G-diffuser system", which allows them to hover. They also use a special plasma engine. Free from the friction of the ground and operating with supper-charged engines, the races are held a mach speed, and are obviously pretty dangerous. There are over 40 pilots in F-Zero GX.

I love F-Zero X, one of the best racing games around. So many vechiles to choose from and that purple stuff that heals you as you drive. I alway's liked that yellow and blue striped car, I'm not sure if you know what one I'm talking about.
