Let's talk everyone's favourite fantasy (kind of like a role playing) game. Of course Blizzard has been successful with Starcraft and Warcraft, Diablo II has only made them stronger.
It has certainly improved from the original Diablo 1, adding quick, no-waiting, through town portals and advancing through game levels. It has created amazing and cool items to collect like Set Items, and the all powerful Expectional Unique Items.
Introducing gems, runes and the less popular jewels. The runes of course being one of the most sought after items in the game, everyone talking about Pul, Lem and whathaveyou. With the rarest runes and the right socketed equipment, you can create extremely powerful items like Spirit, Enigma, Chaos and others.
Many different characters to choose from: For how many times I've played, I've never been the sorceress, Druid or Amazon, don't care for them.
It was one of the first games to introduce warp portals, due to its "Save and Exit" method of saving. But becomes convenient for the next time someone plays.
Playing on Battle.net is a lot of fun (saying you don't run into a jerk). One thing that I've noticed is it is an economic game, lots of trading, you got to know what everything is worth and have 5 or 6 different characters finding and storing items and runes.
I like the game, unfortunately, I'm not as good as one might think. Sure, I've beaten it on Hell difficulty, found the Trang Set for my lvl 86 Necro but he still sucks. Even with my assassin with "84% of finding magic item" still finds nothing. My luck is got to change.
