Now, I know that rules can be really annoying. But no society, club, or organization can exist without them
1. No flame wars.
What's a flame war?
A flame war is when two or more members start flameing each other back and forth. Flameing is insulting someone. Constructive criticism isn't flaming.
2. No profanity.
Please, no Adult or mature content. Let's try and keep the site family friendly.
3. No spam.
A. Don't type really long words to stretch out a page in a thread.
B. Try not to post in a row. If you're the last poster and you have more to say, simply edit your post, don't reply to it again.
C. Do not post the same thing over and over again in a thread. And I mean this in the obnoxious way.
D. Off-topic personal quick fire chats are also considered spamming. This is not your personal chat room, and you can easily use PMs, instant messaging, or chats elsewhere.
E. And please, stay ON-TOPIC. The Fun Board is the place that we allow users to spam to their delight (within reason).
4. Making new threads.
Some things to consider before making a new thread:
A. Will the thread contribute to the forum?
B. If you have an opinion, back it up with reason.
C. If you have a question, provide enough information so others can help you.
D. And if you just have something to say, say it respectively.
E. Has it been posted before?
F. At the top of the page, there is a search button. It's an easy tool to use in which you can find out if what you're trying to figure out has already been discussed or your question is already answered.
G. It is ALWAYS better to post in an existing thread than to start a new one.
H. If the thread is old and dead and perhaps super long to the point where you don't have time to read through all of it, then you can make a new one. Typically it should not be too hard to read through unless there is off-topic content throughout. While there should not be, you can make a new one. Just get prepared for people to comment about how they've already discussed it. If you're willing to deal with that, then make a new thread. If people start to over-react, then they're in trouble.
I. Always check stickies (such as this one) as they continue to appear in this Messageboard.
J. Are you in the right forum?
K. Read through the descriptions of each area and decide which area best suits your thread.
5. Avatars
Avatar images must be appropriate and should not be super long animations that are more than 230KB. For some users, this will slow their computer and increase download times, especially if you've posted numerous times on one page.
